“If these streets could talk”. Well, actually, they can. You just need to go out for a walk and take a look around to hear and see a city’s story, told by the city itself. And no, we’re not only talking about going sightseeing through museums and historical landmarks, the past and present of a city is right in front of you, you just need to open your eyes and pay attention. Every city has its own aesthetic and its own language, and not just the literal spoken/written language of said country, we mean a graphic language, spoken through design.

"If these steets could talk", well, actually, they can.

This time, we took a walk around Amsterdam, Netherlands and depicted a portrait of the city through a typographic POV. Originally a small fishing village in the late 12th century, Amsterdam became a major world port during the Dutch Golden Age of the 17th century, when the Netherlands was an economic powerhouse. Amsterdam was the leading center for finance and trade, as well as a hub of production of secular art. It was also home to celebrated artists such as Rembrandt and Vincent van Gogh, as well as philosophers John Locke and René Descartes. Nowadays it is considered one of the most multicultural cities in the world, famous for its cultural landscape and its nightlife.

Here, we show you a little bit of Amsterdam, through the designing glass.
